You adopted Douglas Jerrold, adapted to South Indian milieu, adept in writing, did better than Jerrold, in that, yours is monologue by Ambujam, leaving the feeble responses of Punju to our rich imagination. There is an Ambujam in many married women, to a lesser or a greater degree in consonance with a bit of uxorious Panju in most married men. There are a lot of parallel interests between us. We love same authors, both in English and Tamil. I wish I had met you in Delhi, when I was at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. I would have basked in the company of the Delhi-based stalwart writers and benefited from their rich repository of literature and their sense of humor. The complete New Yorker comes in a hard drive, with every issue from February 1925, complete with Cartoons and ads in the original New Yorker Issue and has fascinating articles by R.K. Narayan.
